The Where I Belong Tour kicks off at the National in Richmond, VA on 10/29/19

Simple Plan, State Champs, and We The Kings came together after the Vans Warped Tour in 2018 to form the Where I Belong Tour, accompanied by a single of the same name featuring all three bands. The tour began on October 29, 2019 at the National in Richmond, Virginia. Northbound provided support as well but they are not photographed.

We The Kings played old favorites such as Skyway Avenue and of course, Check Yes Juliet as well as some newer songs that involved a “Sorority Girl” squat, as Travis Clark calls it, and jumping up and down doing the “inflatable man” dance. Clark wanted the entire audience to participate during this song and it worked out beautifully.

Next State Champs brought up the energy with a mix of songs from The Finer Things, Around The World and Back and their newest release Living Proof. Songs included songs that have never been played before such as “The Fix Up” and a song they don’t play often “Prepare to Be Noticed”. This was also their first time playing the venue.

Simple Plan took the stage and brought a wave of nostalgia with old favorites such as “I’d Do Anything”, “Addicted”, “Jet Lag”, and new favorites such as “Boom” and they even played the new single “Where I Belong” for the first time ever with help from Derek and Travis. Simple Plan fans were also in for a treat when the group played the infamous “What’s New Scooby Doo”.
