On July 30, Jon Bellion stopped at the Meadow Brook Ampitheatre in Rochester Hills, Michigan as a part of the Glory Sound Prep Tour.
The first act of the night was Lawrence, a group founded by siblings Gracie and Clyde Lawrence that later grew to a eight-piece band. It was refreshing to see a band full of such talented and upbeat musicians. Plus, it’s always awesome to see saxophones and a trumpet onstage! Lawrence is signed to Jon Bellion’s Beautiful Mind Records and some of their most well-known songs are “Casualty,” “Make a Move,” and “Do You Wanna Do Nothing with Me?”
Up next was Marc E. Bassy who just this year stepped out as a fully independent artist, while also announcing his own label, New Gold Medal. Bassy was very well received by the crowd and had a lot of energy and passion onstage. Almost everyone in the crowd was moving by the end of the set! Some of Bassy’s most popular songs include “You & Me,” Plot Twist,” and “Morning.”
Next was Jon Bellion’s much anticipated set! Immediately when the lights went black, everyone jumped to their feet and the amphitheatre filled with excited screams. Bellion took the stage and through the whole set, he and his band (and special guests) had such contagious energy and enthusiasm. Some of Bellion’s most well known songs include “All Time Low,” “Stupid Deep,” and “Guillotine,” all songs that made an appearance on the set list. It’s hard not to smile while watching Jon Bellion perform. It’s clear he absolutely loves what he does and is fully dedicated to his music and fans. He has such an optimistic stage presence and contagious energy that is a joy to watch. And for all the energy that Bellion had onstage, the crowd gave it right back!
