Seaway @ Brooklyn Bazaar

Seaway is out on their spring tour promoting their new album Fresh Produce with support from Free Throw, Heart Attack Man, and Young Culture. They stopped in NYC at Brooklyn Bazaar for an engaging and energetic show. If the rest of the tour is anything like it you shouldn’t miss the upcoming dates.

Up and comers Young Culture opened the show bringing a spirited set and infectious stage presence. Many of the songs they performed are from their debut release on Equal Vision Records, (This is) Heaven released this January. This EP is a perfect example of upbeat and modern pop punk. It debuted at #22 on the New Artist Chart and #53 on Indie in just its first week.

Heart Attack Man followed with a lively performance playing songs like “Fake Blood” from their newest release Fake Blood, and “Life Sucks”, “Cool Kids Table” and “Surrounded by Morons” from their debut album The Manson Family.

Emo punk band Free Throw appeared next playing a varied setlist with some titles from their newest album What’s Past is Prologue, released in March of this year. This album feels deeply introspective and raw and the audience of fans passionately sang along to their emotive lyricism.

Seaway headlined the show bringing their signature special mix of pop and punk. Fresh Produce, out on Pure Noise Records now is an album of b-sides and alternate versions of fan favorites like “Something Wonderful”, “Lula on the Beach”, and “40 Over” as well as new tracks like “Blur” and “Pleasures”. They performed many of those tracks from Fresh Produce as well as others like “Apartment” and “Curse Me Out” from Vacation and “Best Mistake” from Colour Blind. Six Years into their career they’re beloved in the pop punk music community and it showed during their set. Their fans are so dedicated and spirited making for quite a fun show.
