SWMRS @ Brooklyn Steel

SWMRS is halfway through their North American tour promoting their new album Berkeley’s On Fire. Joined by fellow Californian bands Beach Goons and Destroy Boys they stopped in Brooklyn bringing their fresh punk music to Brooklyn Steel.

Destroy Boys hailing from Sacramento opened the show with their infectious rock and roll and attitude. They were the perfect way to open this show. San Diego band Beach Goons followed with their surf punk sound that excited an already pumped crowd.

SWMRS then came to stage faced with hundreds of screaming fans. This young band is loved as they should be. They’re radical, talented, and progressive people who I’d be glad to see usher in a new era of punk music and culture. Lead singer Cole Becker is candid and conversational with the crowd and advocates to everyone the importance of a safe enviroment for everyone that attends their shows. They performed songs like “Trashbag Baby”, title track of their new album “Berkeley’s On Fire”, “Miley”, “Hellboy”, and “Lose It”. Visit them at the tour dates below for a fun and thrilling show.
