You Me At Six Return to Boston

IMG_9481

You Me At Six kicked off their Back Again Tour and made their triumphant return to Boston after about two years away. The night kicked off with electrifying performances by Machineheart and Dreamers who got the crowd eager and ready for You Me At Six to take the stage. You could feel the energy inside of the packed Brighton Music Hall as everyone waited for the lights to dim. Once the lights dimmed the crowd went wild and You Me At Six opened the show with “Fast Forward” off of their new album VI. This tour would be the first time everyone in the room would be experiencing these new songs live so you could really feel the excitement from everyone. In fact most of their set would consist of songs from their new album VI as well as songs off of other albums like Cavalier Youth and Sinners Never Sleep. You Me At Six played crowd favorites like “Bite My Tongue” , and “Loverboy” which got everyone off of their feet and into the air as there were crowd surfers galore. Lead singer Josh Franceschi was more than happy to greet the crowd surfers with a high five. Admist all of the chaos and energy, there was a point in the set where there was a moment of pure bliss. Josh wanted all of the lights to be dimmed and to have everyone light up the room in phone lights. Sure enough the whole room lit up in phone lights and the band began to play “Take on The World”. There wasn’t a person in the crowd that didn’t have a smile on their face as they sang back the words in unison. After that sweet moment, You Me At Six continued the night with more groovy tunes and then closed the set out with a classic song, “Underdog”. For an opening show of the tour, You Me At Six sure brought the fire so be sure to catch them in a city near you on the Back Again Tour! Check out photos from the show taken by Erin Crowley below!
