Gold Steps @ Kaboom

Up and coming Austin, TX based band Gold Steps is on tour promoting their second EP, Incandescent. They stopped by the cozy basement venue, Kaboom in Garner, NC to play an intimate show with local North Carolina bands Lunchbox Hero, Come Clean, and Paperback. Gold Steps brought contagious energy and a stage presence that commanded the room. Lead singer Liz Mauritz talked candidly with the crowd and explained some of the back stories of their songs like a friend confiding in you. For example, “Suckerpunch” is about Liz’s struggles with anxiety and depression, something many of us can relate to. Other songs like “Vacancies”, “Firestarter”, and “Bright Side” graced the set list and are just some of the catchy pop punk bops you can hear from them on tour. After watching this performance it’s obvious Gold Steps will go places because they’re just too dang talented to be ignored.

Find them on social media for upcoming tour dates to be announced.
