The Wonder Years, Tigers Jaw, & Tiny Moving Parts Hit NYC

The Sister Cities Tour blazed through New York City, making a stop in the ever vibrant Time’s Square to grace the stage at Playstation Theater. Tiny Moving Parts wasted no time and opened up with classic track “Sundress,” which got the crowd going wild. The trio are on the road in support of their latest release Swell. The math rockers played tracks “Applause,” “Feel Alive,” and “Caution” off of their current album to great acclaim from the crowd, in addition to a few cult classic tracks that made the audience swoon over the nostalgia. Philly indie rock outfit Tigers Jaw were up next with an eclectic setlist. Tigers Jaw opened their set with track “Favorite” off of their 2017 release Spin. Then smoothly transitioned to tracks “Planes vs Tank vs Submarine” and “I Saw Water,” both off of their eponymous cult classic full length which got the crowd bustling and crowd surfing. Tigers Jaw wrapped up their set with track “The Sun.”

As the crowd pushed forward and bustled awaiting for The Wonder Years to play. The  Pop punk juggernauts finally graced the stage in theatrical fashion with a stunning light show accompanying them.  The band are out on the road in support of  their brand new album Sister Cities and opened up their set with the second track off the album “Pyramids of Salt.” The smooth mid-tempo track had every audience member engaged from start to finish. The Wonder Years kicked the night in to gear with track “I Don’t Like Who I Was Then.”  Although on the road promoting Sister Cities, the Philly outfit played an extensive setlist ranging from tracks off their albums No Closer to Heaven, The Greatest Generation, and Suburbia. The Wonder Years closed out this rambunctious night with four encore selections. The band played acoustic renditions of tracks “A Song For Ernest Hemingway” and “Dismantling Summer.” The Wonder Years wrapped their set with “Passing Through a Screen Door” and a stunning rendition of “Cigarettes and Saints.” An end to a truly wonderful night.
