It was a night jammed packed with talent as one of the best lineups of 2017 stopped by to grace the stage of NYC’S Irving Plaza. The crowd was packed like sardines but that didn’t stop the fun, the crowd surfing, or the circle pits from happening. The energy was at an all time high as soon as you walked into the venue. Homesafe open up the night in full force playing tracks mainly off of their most recent EP Evermore.
Movements took the stage next doing what they do best, evoking emotion with each track played, creating a cathartic experience for fans. Movements is on this tour in support of their remarkable sophomore effort Feel Something which was released last month. Movements opened up their set with “Colorblind” and “Third Degree” off of the new record, but fans really got wild when they played crowd favorites “Nineteen,” “Worst Wishes,” and “Kept.” With Confidence brought the party with their set as fans went full force crowd surfing and dancing.
Headliners Knuckle Puck brought down the house with their set. This is the Chi-town pop punkers first ever headlining tour and the most anticipated of all for fans. The quintet are out on this tour in support of their sophomore effort Shapeshifter which was released last month. I can honestly say I never seen a crowd go so wild for a band before. The energy that both the fans and band fed off of each other was intoxicating and a joy to watch. It was as if everyone’s problems in that room were gone for the whole hour and a half set. The carefree energy in the room was unreal. The band had the most eclectic setlist to date. Knuckle Puck opened up their set with new track “Gone” and even played some heavy deep cut tracks like “Fences” and “Gold Rush” off of their 2014 split EP. Relive the night with the gallery below
