Houston Open Air 2016

Danny Wimmer Presents and Monster Energy is proud to announce Houston Open Air, a 2-day festival of music, food and whiskey. Texas Biggest Rock Experience is set to take place at NRG Park on September 24th and 25th in NRG Park, Houston.

Danny Wimmer Presents, the largest independent festival producer based in Los Angeles, is responsible for organizing the biggest rock festivals around America including, Rock On The Range, Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Louder Than Life and many more. Houston Open Air will be the first of its kind and promises to unite metalheads, rock lovers and people who loves good food, whiskey and craft beer.

The lineup has been announced earlier this year with rock and metal great Avenged Sevenfold and Alice in Chains headlining this 2-day event. In addition to the headliners, major acts from the biggest names in rock and metal such as Deftones, Slayer, Chevelle, The Cult, Ministry, Alter Bridge, Anthrax, Of Mice and Men, has been promised to be playing in this event.

Others include Sevendust, Chevy Metal, Buckcherry, Bardness, Hell Yeah, Sick Puppies, Sons of Texas, September Mourning, Nothing More, The Amity Affliction, The Word Alive, Young Guns, Letlive and also UK’s pop-punk favorites Neck Deep will also feature in this event, with more acts expected to announce later in the year. Houston Open Air will not only promise a weekend full of hard rocking music but also a weekend of the best foods and whiskey experience, Jack Daniel’s will be bringing a “Taste of Tennessee” with the Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Whiskey Row and Texas-sized Gourmet Man Food experience (warning: not for the faint hearted!)

A portion of tickets sold will proceed to the Greater Houston Storm Relief Fund. The Greater Houston Storm Relief Fund was establisher by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner to accept flood relief donations that will aid the victims of the recent storm.
